Buy points [Bases] TSLA & AMZN used as examples

Pat – New to your service so trying to better understand your buy strategy.  I am familiar with buying as a stock moves through a pivot point.  In your examples, you have bought within a base. Can you elaborate more on this strategy?
Examples are your buys in AMZN in early April/2020 and TSLA early Dec/2019.
