Hi Pat...What do you think of this situation my portfolio is in? At my peak in 2018 I had an account of 1.7mill. It hovers around 1.3mill today I made a profit of 187K in 2018. I have a paper loss off 400k in 2019. Stocks that were clearly in profit zones made round trips to the negative with the brutal market swoon in Oct 2018.I have held these losers with several single equity losses of 20-50% in stocks  MU,GRUB, MED,SIVB,XPO, MEOH,IPGP, NVDA,ABMD,and MKSI. All broken charts. I know, not a pretty picture. When I look at the charts in retrospect, I can see where I had a chance to get out...but I didn't. :)  The market trended up this year, so I held the stocks, but the above stocks never participated fully with the market and remained weak. The portfolio gained almost half of the back at the highs of the SPY this year, but tweets from Trump and trade war shenanigans did their damage.  I signed up with your site for a better way to invest and keep me out of trouble. :)  I am a physician and 59 years of age so I think about retirement and seek less volatility in my portfolio. :)  I am not freaking out, but the latest market volatility is concerning. So, I know there are no easy answers here... Dump them all and start over? Hold on for a rebound? Hmmm..So, my QUESTION:  What is an investor to do with big losers?    All the best,    Mark  :)
