Help- Separating emotions from Trading

Hi Patrick, just a few days as a VIP and I’m already realizing so many mental mistakes I’ve been making. I sincerely thank you for your openness.
So far I’ve learned that I’m way too emotional with my trading. I need help separating my emotions from my trading. Having rules helps. But also rules from HTMMIS and Mission winner rules.. and rules from watching Interviews from Richard Moglen are all jarring my brain. Should I sell or should I hold… well Bill O’Neil has the 8week rule. well Mission Winners has the 10-20% lock in profits rule on a tail bar.
I need to be more methodological and less emotional. But in order to do that I really need to commit to one method - I think that’s the solution??  Your methods fit my personality the best. And now I need to commit to these rules and ignore all the other noise. 
Am I on the right path thinking like this Patrick?? Thank you for your time and any advice on this topic will be greatly appreciated. We are all so lucky you are here sharing your knowledge and wisdom.
