Higher-Low Retracement Level

Just curious in your experience if you find the higher low setup is better around a 50% retracement off the previous high?  Or do you look more at volume and other signs like the moving averages, etc to evaluate it?  I just haven’t seen it mentioned in the videos I’ve watched on it.
