Monitoring the VIX

Hey Pat, I'm learning a ton already and am thankful for the content you provide. Do you by any chance monitoring the VIX at all as a part of your system?

Hi Austin,
Pat does not track with the VIX.  He is a chart guy who tracks closely with price and volume. 
That's not to say you shouldn't have the VIX up on your screen; just be careful of taking action based solely or aggressively upon it. 
I do find that VIX action into the close, say the final 15 to 30 minutes of the day can sometimes be of use. 
But, nothing tops price and volume.

Thanks for the explanation! I also agree. Nothing better than price and volume but it’s nice to glance at the VIX from time to time
