Networking – Exploring a Career Change

Hey Pat, 
 
I live in the Metro Detroit area and I'm exploring different paths right now.  I have over 10 years of technical sales experience, my most recent experience in the medical device industry.  I have considered moving into finance and have more specific interest in active asset management. But, I don't really know where to start.  What certifications would be needed?  And where / what type of role would be a good place to start in the industry?
