Pat  I noticed in the TD Ameritrade platform that the Pro shares ETF are getting split  The ETFs reflecting say QQQ---QLD is getting forward split of 2;1 and the $ value of shares remain same . The short ones say QIDs and similar ones are getting reverse split2;1 or 4;1. -- Are we loosing money because of the number of shares are reduced and the value of the shares remain the same?

Hi Ravi, There is never any value lost with stock splits. I am curious where you say, "the $ value of the shares remain the same." (if you have a link to that article, post it and I'll take a glance at it).
However it is stated in the article you read, the reality is the same; a holder of shares through a split results in no reduction of capital. Shares are adjusted based upon the newly adjusted price.
