Stats

James Goold asked 2 years ago
Hi, firstly thanks for responding to my question re the minimum amount to hold after scaling some out - helpful as always. I've been looking at my stats for the YTD and although I'm fairly happy with them I know there are areas for improvement, which after all is why we keep stats.  My question is, do these look like what you would expect to see using your strategy and process?  Which areas might you expect to be better than I'm achieving.? Total trades 366 (over 11 months) Winners 152 Losers 214 Win/Loss ratio 42/59 Average profit per winning trade is 2.78 x average loss per trade

Thanks Pat.  My money/risk management is good with my losses averaging around 3% but as you were possibly alluding to I do tend to overtrade and don't maximise the winners to the extent that I should. Lots to work on but that's the challenge that makes this business so interesting.
