Stock Positions and Earnings Season

What are your guidelines for selling &/or holding stock positions going into earnings?  Assuming the stock position is profitable, do you suggest selling all shares before earnings or would you hold a full or partial position?  If you hold some shares, what is the least profit level you would consider?  Thanks.
