Thoughts on trading stocks vs.buying calls/puts (swing trading single leg options)…

I began my trading journey day trading options...  I was told you do not need a big account to get started with...  Just trade options!!  So I was sold the strategy and started learning about calls/puts.  I thankfully didn't trade much thanks to my small account getting much smaller immediately so I didn't have to loose much money before I decided to invest in my education instead of continuing with day trading.  When I joined Mission Winners I look at the Option Chain and see many of the best performing smaller companies lack volume on the options chain.  I think this could be a good thing after dueling with Implied Volatility even when I got the direction correct the IV would drop and not have much of a gain.  The first mentor I had trading felt options were the clear choice to make real money in the markets.  After joining Mission Winners and discovering fundamentals tied to the technical analysis is key vs. day trading setups alone I find myself looking for books/education comparing the benefits of trading stocks vs. single leg options?  I haven't had much success yet finding much to weigh the pros and cons of each.  I would love any thoughts or books to help me get to a favorable trading strategy to build a small account...  Thanks so much for your time and all the work that the team puts in here.  Incredible education and guidance...   Respectfully David Heaton
